This Privacy Policy describes how Metellus Productions LLC ("we," "us," or "our") handles information when you use Heightmog (https://heightmog.com or any subdomain) — a free web-based suite of height prediction and growth tools (the "Service").
We've designed Heightmog to collect as little data as possible. Here's exactly what we do and don't do.
1. WHAT WE DO NOT COLLECT
• We do NOT require account registration, login, or email signup to use any tool
• We do NOT collect or store the height/weight/age stats you enter into our calculators (all math runs in your browser)
• We do NOT collect, upload, or store any photos — none of our tools ask for or process images
• We do NOT use facial recognition, biometric scanning, or AI vision of any kind
• We do NOT sell or share data with third-party advertisers
• We do NOT track you across other websites
• We do NOT use cross-site tracking cookies
2. WHAT WE DO COLLECT (ANALYTICS ONLY)
The Service uses Google Analytics 4 ("GA4") to understand aggregate site usage — how many people visit each page, where they're from, what device they use. This is industry-standard anonymized web analytics and does not personally identify you.
Specifically, GA4 collects:
• Page views and navigation paths within Heightmog
• Approximate geographic location (city/region level — not precise)
• Device type, browser, and operating system
• Anonymized IP address (Google truncates the last octet)
• Referring website (where you came from)
This data is used solely to improve the Service and is retained per Google's standard policies. You can opt out of GA4 via browser extensions like the Google Analytics Opt-Out Add-On, or by enabling Do Not Track / Global Privacy Control.
3. COOKIES
We use only essential, first-party cookies:
• Google Analytics measurement cookies (anonymized)
• Browser-managed cookies for preferences (such as your selected unit system — imperial vs metric)
We do not use third-party advertising cookies or marketing trackers.
4. SERVER LOGS
Our hosting provider (Vercel) keeps standard server logs (IP address, timestamp, request URL) for operational and security purposes. These logs are not used for marketing.
5. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES
Heightmog may link to external websites and mobile apps. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties. We have no control over and assume no responsibility for the content or privacy policies of any third-party sites or services.
If we include affiliate links, the third-party affiliate networks may set their own cookies once you click through. Review their privacy policies separately.
6. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY
Heightmog is a general-information service. Children under 13 should only use the Service with parental supervision. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it promptly.
7. DATA RETENTION
• Tool inputs (heights, weights, ages): NOT stored. They exist only in your browser tab and are discarded when you close the page.
• Analytics data: retained per Google Analytics default (14 months for event-level data).
• Server logs: retained per Vercel default (~30 days).
8. YOUR RIGHTS
Depending on your jurisdiction (GDPR / CCPA / UK GDPR), you may have rights to:
• Access information we hold about you
• Request deletion of any personally identifying information
• Object to processing
• Lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority
Since we don't collect personally identifying information beyond standard analytics, fulfilling most data-access requests is a matter of opting out of analytics (see Section 2).
9. SECURITY
We use industry-standard HTTPS encryption for all traffic. Our tools run client-side in your browser, so your sensitive inputs (heights, parents' heights, etc.) never leave your device.
10. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
We may update this Policy as our practices evolve. Changes will be noted via the "Effective Date" above. Material changes will be highlighted on the homepage for at least 30 days.
